Mark started Onda-lay Pipe & Rental, Inc. in 1982 at age 26. Onda-Lay was a Pipeline Construction & Distribution Company which provided turnkey pipeline installations for all types of applications in the Oil & Gas industry.

After the ups & downs of the 1980’s, Onda-Lay became one of the largest distributors of its type in the US for 3 decades, employing over 400 associates.

Mark remained as President & CEO of Onda-Lay until the company sold to Wolseley Industrial Group in 2006, where he stayed on as General Manager for 5 years.

After fulfilling his contract, in May of 2013 Mark joined forces with Encore Pipe, where he currently assists in Business Development & Customer Service.

In addition to Mark’s involvement in pipe & construction, he enjoys teaching Sunday school, speaking to athletic and management teams, and mentoring and encouraging young leaders. He also enjoys running and working out, having completed 7 marathons including finishing in top 20% of his age group in Boston and one 34-mile ultra-marathon in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia.

Mark received his Leadership Certification from the John Maxwell Company to teach & coach leadership skills in 2012 and was awarded Most Outstanding Member of Dale Carnage’s Leadership Program for the Permian Basin in 1998.

Mark has served as a Deacon for over 33 years at Kelview Heights Baptist Church & was elected Chairman at various times. He also served as Chairman of a Distributor Council Board for Phillips Driscopipe (Subsidiary of Phillips Pet Co.) for 9 years.

Mark has been married to Phyllis for 43 years and has two daughters – Courtney & Lindsey, and 6 grandkids.
